Anchoress

An Anchoress was A nun-like Christian who allowed herself be built into a tiny stone Church Annex which she could not leave. Her mission was to pray for her community and she daily dug her grave in her hut with her bare hands. This Anchoress is devoted to the Land. She is bound to her place this dying earth trying to atone for the damage of her fellow men. She will live and die in this spot, away from humanity, immersed in the land. This limited edition (50) is printed in my home studio on a silky heavy brilliant white paper. (29.7x42cm)
